Hopefully this comes out okay...its been forever since I've posted anything. I stopped really doing the forums so I wasn't really taking pictures. I have just started lampworking and this is my first "set". I am pretty happy with them though I still have a ton of stuff to learn!

I made this set for my mom. She had given me a vintage piece that was falling apart. So I took the pink/peach glass beads and used some 24 gauge sterling silver wire to link them together. The chain is a pretty heavy sliver plated I decided to use because the glass beads are really heavy. Posted by Picasa

This one is for my grandmother...I used the same lilac round glass beads with some "pink opal" rounds and a smooth tear drop I got from Beadaholics :) Posted by Picasa

I made this for my godmother...I used some lilac irredesent glass beads with pink crystal cubes and a pink faceted tear drop. Posted by Picasa

The Good News...

Well, I didn't get accepted into the Arts & Craft Show I applied for. But the good news is that my mother is letting me set up at the open house for the Antique Mall she manages. There is usually a lot of foot traffic and they have it catered. It will be less work for me too just because its closer and I already have a display case inside.

Also, I won these amazing beads pictured below from Kabs Creative Concepts!!!

Fair Weather Friend from Kabs Creative Concepts! I won these on eBay from I very talented lampwork artist. I can't wait until they get here!! Posted by Picasa

Another try at taking photos...I used one of those industrial work lights and some white mesh. I am not really happy with the material and I will probably try something else. Posted by Picasa

I finally got my camera!!! It really wasn't long since I order it, its just that I have wanted/needed a new camera for about six months so it seems like forever. I haven't been updating this blog like I should...sometimes it seems that life just gets in the way of what I really want to do. Oh well, better to just enjoy it when I can. We are off to the Washington Auto Show, but I will have some time to make some jewelry and play with my camera this evening and tomorrow. Hopefully I will have some great pictures to post tomorrow. Wish me luck!!

Creative Custom Jewelry

I am using this blog to kind of try out formats and pictures. I hope to develop my website soon to display and sell my jewelry. I have been participating in the Beadstylemag.com forum for a while now and getting alot of inspiration from that. For my birthday my mom got me some magnetic signs for my car that displays "CK Design", but I would love to add a website to it so people can view my work. Someone has already taken the URL that I wanted, but it is not in use...I will have to keep thinking of something else.
